I found an interesting article on Bloomberg that compiled data on a few of the worst corporate hacks in the last couple of years.
The infographic shows how much data was stolen (110 Million credit card numbers in Target’s case) and that type of data was stolen. What is interesting to note is the lack of interest shareholders had in the hacks. The grey dotted line represents the date the public were aware of the hackings.
It seems that if you want to stay away from being a victim of only hacking, start a non-profit organisation.
