Java 8 is shipped with JavaScript Engine called Oracle Nashorn


Java SE 8 will instead ship with a new engine called Oracle Nashorn which can be used as a command line tool and as an embedded interpreter in Java applications
In this post, we’ll see how to use Oracle Nashorn in several ways. It includes using the standalone engine through command line tool jjs as well as using Oracle Nashorn as an embedded scripting engine inside Java applications.
