Why are more than two-thirds of organizations using cloud-based online file-sharing services extremely interested in a hybrid cloud to store some or all data on premises? Privacy, control and the ability to leverage existing IT investments are the most commonly cited drivers, according to a survey by Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG).
The survey also found:
- The adoption of corporate file sharing is on the rise, with 42 percent of companies currently using solutions.
- Ninety percent of current and potential EFSS users prohibit data from being stored in the public cloud.
